What airport should I fly into? Depending on where your travel originates, you are most likely going to route through Denver or Salt Lake City. From there, you’ll fly into Bozeman Yellowstone Airport, where we will pick you up. Transportation is provided, but you can rent a car if you wish.
Do I need a car? Not for the week you are with us. Many of our activities are local and can be reached after a short walk. For those further away, we provide transportation. Health & Fitness requirements
Bozeman’s main downtown, which you will want to check out in depth, is four blocks long. The Emerson is one block away. We will stand during the tours, for at least an hour at a time. Longer walks are optional, though even a short hike will enhance your appreciation of the natural beauty of the area. We recommend that you be able to walk at least a mile. If you doubt your ability to tolerate this amount of walking or time on your feet, please contact us prior to booking the trip to discuss what accommodations are available.
We make every effort to ensure Trips for Knitters are accessible to as many people as possible. Please read the TFK Health & Fitness Tips.
Lodging at the Lark

The LARK was the first property owned, designed, and repurposed by a Bozeman-based group whose ethos is to resurrect old unused buildings and breathe new life into the downtown spaces that they call home. All of their properties feature essentialism and high design intent while remaining true to, and genuinely inspired by, their surroundings.
The space that is now The LARK has a colorful history in the heart of downtown Bozeman. Formerly an Imperial 400, and before that a series of auto shops, the lot sat vacant for four years until a local architectural firm saw an opportunity to breathe new life into the run-down and abandoned property.
The LARK was designed to embody the spirit of the local community and to allow you to feel immersed in the vibe that is Bozeman, Montana. Custom artwork is installed in each room, created by local artists who want you to be as inspired by this place as they are.

Health and Fitness
We want every knitter to enjoy their trip — we make every effort to ensure Trips for Knitters are accessible to as many people as possible. Some of the trips are more physically demanding and may not be suitable for everyone. Contact us if you have questions or wish to discuss the amount of walking, stair climbing or other physical demands, especially if you have back, knee or hip issues.
Please let us know if you have any mobility or medical issues which may affect your ability to fully undertake the event as described. We accept no liability for mobility or medical issues that we are not told about prior to the trip. Advise us of any changes after registering and before the trip takes place.
To gauge your level of fitness, we suggest you honestly assess your ability to walk 1-5 miles at a reasonable pace. If you become short of breath, experience cramping or spasms, or find that this exacerbates a medical condition, you may not want to register for the trip. Contact us if you have questions about the physical demands of any trip.
While age is just a number, we need to screen participants over 75 to discuss the physical and mental demands of the trip. Send an email and a good time to call and discuss. We hope you’ll qualify without hesitation, but we want to be sure you are up to the trip before you register, pay and embark on travel.
If you have any questions or concerns, we’re here to discuss them in confidentiality. We want the best outcome and enjoyment for every participant of Trips for Knitters events.
