Come to Fanø where someone is always knitting.
Fanø is a Danish island in the North Sea off the coast of southwestern Denmark, and is the very northernmost of the Danish Wadden Sea Islands. Seals at Fano all year around. They sunbathe on sandbanks and play in the water.
Fanø is part of the Wadden Sea National Park, which is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. The Wadden Sea is the largest continuous tidal area in Europe and an important resting place for migratory birds.
Inspired by the beauty of her island, Christel Seyfarth will share her unique technique and view of color in the exclusive workshop just for Trips for Knitters. Her way of knitting is very addictive, working with many colors to create exquisite designs. Influenced by the ocean, the waves, storms, and the natural world surrounding her native Fanø, she will share her expertise with us.
This trip to Fanø exceeded all of my expectations. What a magical, cozy, friendly place, with beautiful nature, many charming shops, and perfectly situated accommodations. Fanø Krogaard could accommodate my dietary restrictions, which I greatly appreciate – but I didn’t expect such gourmet food, so beautifully presented at each and every meal. —Trina
Good value for the money, a chance to immerse yourself into Fano history, culture and shopping. Should definitely put on your bucket list of places to visit—Lisa
Fano is a wonderful place. Scenery, food, accommodations and programming were top notch. I learned a lot about Fano, and that it was a great cultural immersion trip. It was the right balance between planned activities and time to explore on your own, or in small groups, knit and learn from fellow travelers, and to have solo downtime. I loved spending time with fellow knitters! Great group.–Michelle

We also believe that it’s your knitting and if you choose not to do the project or to do it a different way, that’s fine. We want you to make the most of your knitting in your way, and it’s different for all of us. You still get the project yarn, whether you knit it or not!
